Man is but a tiny breath
Expelled from Holy lungs
Fashioned clay by Potter’s hand
The world to overcome
This Holy spark within man lies
Beneath the heavy, soil
Of Self and Me and Mine!
Of Predatory toil
As tiny breath of Holy God
Remains in darkest depths
It’s drawing Self and Me and Mine
To holiness and rest
From labors most unworthy
From pits of dark despair
To Light and Life and Joy and Peace
To Father God’s sweet care
It never was His purpose,
Man’s rent from loving bond
His heart’s one deep desire?
Relationship beyond
Death, that grave, and hellish realm
Where lost and living end
Where tiny spark of Holy breath
Bursts fully into flame
To stand at once before His throne
So Regal and Supreme
While voice as roaring thunders tell,
“Mankind has been redeemed!”

Lovely Elizabeth, just lovely….
Sorry I’ve been absent a while – my husband’s step-father passed away last week and we were with his Mom until yesterday. I’m just now trying to get caught up – whew, how much can accumulate in only a few days!

Hey Deanna! I’ve been worrying about you. So glad you are okay. It is amazing the amount of stuff that accumulates when we are not there to keep on top of it all. I know you have the power and like Wonder-Woman will have it all back under control like yesterday

Hi Elizabeth! I hope life is treating you kindly
I enjoyed this post and love how you connected the words to the imagery here…very, very nice!

Thanks Sherry, it is
So glad you enjoyed the post. I love the artwork, and especially finding new artists to share with my readers.

Your words are beautiful. You do have a gift of imagery with words.
Do you know who the artist is for the second picture–the one with the feather?

Thanks Patricia.
I tried really hard to find that one too, but I never did find out who the artist is. I found the painting on a Catholic website, left an inquiry, and a priest responded saying he had no idea where it came from. I will keep looking and hopefully will discover who the mystery artist is.

I loved the combination of vivid text and wonderful choice in pictures. This looks like the work of the heart.
