Have you ever wished you weren’t so stupid? I bet the twenty-eight-year-old who flipped the finger at the Prosecutor during the trial does. Right after closing out the trial for the day Judge Belvin Perry Jr. tried the young man, Matthew Bartlett, for direct contempt of court.
They showed him photographs and asked him to tell who was pictured there. He says, Me. And what are you doing in the photographs? asked the judge. Long story short the young fella admits he’s telling the Prosecutor Mr. Ashton to F**K off by flipping him the finger. (After being repeatedly reminded: no gestures, facial or otherwise would be tolerated in the court.)
Before he knew it Judge Belvin Jr. had him hand-cuffed, and sentenced him to six days in jail, a four-hundred dollar fine and court costs of two hundred and fifty. Then we all found out that this guy works at TGIFs at millenium, earns fifteen thousand a year, pays 1,500 for living expenses a month, has one hundred and sixty dollars in checking and twelve dollars in savings. And that he takes the prize for moron of the century.
I’m figuring he did it for fame sake. I think he was going to have it viewed a million times on YouTube and be the ‘coolest dude’ on the planet. Yes, he’s gonna be famous!

Yup. I guess he had his moment of fame. Who knows why he did it? Whatever the reason, if he was warned, he should have known what would happen. I’m sure his punishment is more than he expected. There is too much disrespect in our culture. Blessings to you, Elizabeth…
